"...And wanted to share a photo of me with my friend Max. Max was shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting in Washington, DC. A young boy was holding Max at the time, so Max, the news said, took the bullet intended for the little boy. Max came to meet us at the hospital so our doctors could try to save his leg. Max was adopted out by the Washington Humane Society, and, last I heard, was doing great."
