Samantha

this is so cute!
but so sad, those arsonists who did this to all these people and animals should get what they deserve!

Vicey

It wasn't all arsonists. The weather was extraordinarily hot. 47C = 117F with very fast, very hot wind. Add that to the drought and have a very dry bushland, that basically just caught on fire. Yes there were arsonists involved too, but I heard on the news that the biggest most devastating fire was natural. We also had some lit by lightning strike as well. Good old Australia. We have most poisonous snakes and spiders, plus natural disaster too!

Laura

These little guys are so adorable!

There's always amazing effort, caring, and great stories that come from disasters like this. Good luck/Godspeed.

Frankie

apparently up to 1 million animals have died. It's incomprehensible :(

Koalas would be the worst hit. They just move too slow.

Drake Magnum

This is painful to think about. Thanks Chris for posting this story.

Natty

How cute and yet how heartbreaking these pics of baby koalas and roos are. I wish you Aussies all the best in the slow task of recovering and rebuilding from the fires.
