Katie on Tumblr writes: "So I did this a while ago, and I tried to submit it to CWC as I was in love with this man forever! Sadly he never posted it…. even though I obsessively emailed it to him. It took me a frickin long time to do, with many many many layers."
Sara from PORTLAND writes: "...Hey Chris, When I found these at value village for $1.50 plastic frames and all, I knew they were too good to pass up. I recently got around to hanging these beauties right behind my bedroom door. So if I ever have any guests in my room, they'll really know what they're in for once they close the door . Don't worry though, I don't think I'll have anyone in there any time soon....for obvious reasons. Sara 24teen." MORE PICS HERE.
Michaela from OHIO writes: "...Hello Chris. I came across an interesting website, while browsing the web, that might have some appeal to your viewers. I was mainly confused by the cupcake-deer creations."
Erin writes: "...Hey Chris, I just saw that you featured someone posing with a statue of the Fonz. I was super excited to see it because my uncle helped do the bronze casting and the patina on it. The patina is the layer color and shininess on the metal due to corrosion from chemicals. My uncle and his company are hired to do lots of big sculptures such as a gorilla family for a big zoo, a statue of Mary Tylor Moore in Minneapolis."
You may have seen my previous posts about the Goldberg family in ARGENTINA. They've been taking pictures of themselves every June since 1976 and they've posted them on the net in a progressive archive. I was at my desk here in LA tonight preparing for the next installment of my reading series The Chris Leavins Story Hour, and I wondered if they'd done their sitting for 2009. It's a becoming a yearly habit for me to check up on them, and every year I'm slightly nervous there might be one less family member when I log on. This year has been a particularly bad one for losing people, and I hoped among hope that the Goldbergs were all still with us. CLICK HERE FOR THEIR 2009 PHOTOS.
Josh writes: "...I live in the glorious city of Milwaukee. Here, we erect statues to great figures, life size....perhaps 5'7". Enjoy this as yet another reason for to come and perform in Milwaukee!! Joshua 25teen Milwaukee."
Sarit in CALIFORNIA writes: "...Dear Chris, I attended my cousin's wedding at the upscale, fancy-shmancey, and very exclusive Brentwood Country Club in Los Angeles, California. While waiting for the reception to start, I visited the ladies room and was delighted to find a rather large, elegant portrait of a cat with her kittens on the wall opposite the restroom. I immediately whipped out my phone (I had no other camera on me, I apologize) and took advantage of the opportunity at hand. I just wonder, out of all of the portraits you could put in a place such as Brentwood Country Club, why a portrait of cats? Hm. We may never know. Sincerely, Sarit, 16."
I apologize that I don't have a new episode of Cute with Chris for you. I am working on some other projects, and I've almost finished cutting together some new stories for THE CHRIS LEAVINS STORY HOUR, but it's taking longer than I thought. To tide you over, here's a track from a teen musician in WASHINGTON. Dan (with his dog Foosa) writes: "...Hi Chris: I am kind of new to the cult....I wrote and produced a song for cutewithchris. I made it really poppy and cheesy because I thought that style would be suitable for CWC. I'm not sure how you'd go about publishing it on your website (or if you'd even want to for that matter), but it would be really cool if you did in some way! Do with it what you want. It was fun making it."
