"... Before the show, standing outside in the bitter LA winds, Scott and I met Tiffany and Cynthia from Fresno. Tiffany brought the wonderful framed portrait of Chris & his cat she had done in charcoal. BTW -- excellent portrait. In the audience, just before the show started, they both pulled out sawed off feet in high heels and cheerfully set them on their knees in solidarity with Chris’ previous sacrifice. The mix of people was very interesting, but not a lot of teenagers. Probably homework kept them away – they are our greatest resource. Scott and I were lucky to be seated in the front row, stage left. No whisker escaped our notice – and the whiskers abounded. I was shocked to see towels get booed badly, right out of the gate. I felt out of place as the only right-wing towel supporter. The show was indeed just over 30 minutes, and shot on four semi-pro Canon HD cameras synch to a director’s console of some kind. Don’t expect to see “The Show” immediately – there’s some real editing to be done. Not like the living room variety. This is nicely produced. The audience was very, very Chris-hip. Lots of great laughs and anticipated punch lines. The on-line show segments translated very well to the live forum. The show left everyone wanting more, and honestly, it would be no big deal for Chris to add another ½ hour by covering some of his greatest hits bits. There should have been a wrap party, but then all those who couldn’t attend would track us that did and do us dirt while we sleep. Final Destination: Cute-Down, The Movie. (Everyone who attended this show dies from hideously cute pet maulings.) This show reminded me of seeing Robin Williams, Jay Leno and David Letterman performing at the Comedy Store in the late 70s, before they became “names” and conquered show business. I’ll try to put together a video review blog tomorrow for YT, and maybe I can post it as a video response on cutewithchris. Perhaps if he’s not tooooo offended, he’ll put it up here. (Now if I can just transform myself into a male version of Meryl! Cute, I mean! . . . so I’ll be taken seriously.) Thank you Chris! Jim in LA."
