If you watched episode 102 of Cute with Chris you heard me read a letter from my viewer, Dr. Mel, a veterinarian in Maine, who explained the difference between a cat's rectum, and a cat's anus.
Afterward, he sent me another email. "One of the perks of being a veterinarian," he wrote, "is that you're allowed -even expected- to use words like anus, penis, vagina, bitch, and rectum-- and people still think you're professional!"
Another perk is that people bring all sorts of cute baby animals to the office. Like this two week-old Nigerian Dwarf Goat in the picture that Dr. Mel sent me.
I hope you gave the owner a very detailed description of the difference between the goat's anus and rectum, Dr. Mel. After all, that's what we non-professionals count on you for, you crazy penisvaginarectumtesticle expert, you.
Since the goat's owner is one of our vet techs, she is well-acquainted with my anal-retentive tendencies when it comes to terminology. She frequently bemoans the fact, actually, and, um,....oh yeah, I forgot where I was writing this.
OMG!! THAT BABY GOAT IS 2 KUUUUUUUTE!!!!!!!!!

Dear Mr. Chris, WOW it is a really good thing to know you have a vet on hand you can consult. Seems the responsible thing to do for a show that is so animal oriented. Makes your blog/show more professional. And by the way that baby pygmy goat is the absolute #1 cutest thing on the planet.

Lol. I think I would be just as anal-retentive about human medical terminology. When you have knowledge or talent that others don't, you want to use it whenever possible.
Also, the goat is adorable.

You know, I'm Nigerian and every time I've been to Nigeria I look for these goats that people claim are from my homeland, but I've yet to see one, though my friend has two in her backyard here. They're cute.
