i got her when i was in japanese class so i wanted to name her something japanese. my mother however, insisted that the only thing she could pronounce in japanese was ichiban (because of the sapporo ramen). so thats what she is, our number one noodle.

(I still have a t-shirt with the kanji for ichiban that my father gave me after a business trip to Japan. It was huge on me then, but it fits now!)
