The point is that Dante has developed a very thick winter coat. If you saw him in summer he looks quite different. He's still fluffy but his mane and underbelly fur aren't quite as awesome. He is preparing for a long, cold winter!

That is precisely why I keep Dante on a leash and under my eye at all times. Everyone who meets him wants to take him home! LOL!
