I'm pretty sure that I could have gone my whole life without seeing something like that.

Kira

That should go to fugly horse of the day blog as a visual aid as well

Marylee

I think Carm's puke ccl shirt just went to #2 grossest thing on CWC.

leslie

thank you for ruining my breakfast

MT

Oh. My. God. That gives me the jibblies like a mofo.

Glad the horse is healthy, but fuck man! That's a lot of worms.

Angela

I think the current banner is a good visual aid as well...

Sarah

That just made all my Halloween candy taste like shit. :D
Oh, and I decided to show all my friends that picture of the worms just to ruin their candy too. ^___^

The thing that gets me is the gal I bought him from said that he was "up to date" on worming!

It was pretty nasty, I'm just glad that I could spread the joy :)

Isabel

I shouldn't have clicked that :( I thought no . . . it wouldn't be . . . but it was :(

Rena

I will never eat bean sprouts again.

And Waylon is gorgeous.

HorribleLicensePlates

Thanks Carrie. I just lost my lunch

SmilinSweetpea

Waylon is beautiful.

The roundworms. . .not so much. But I still thought the visual aid was cool.

Emmy Celeste

my stomach is turning...the thought in my head...you actually "rounded up" those round worms...ok, stomach is now convulsing!

Cheryl

I feel like the pumpkin in the CWC masthead after seeing the picture of what Waylon produced.

Carrie from Toronto

I used to work at a vet clinic for about 6 years, and that photo still grossed me out.

But cute horse! :)

Banananna

Waylon is beautiful! He looks happy to ne rid of his roundworms, too. I'm glad he's with a responsible owner.

adri

oh
my
god

gross!

(but yet oddly fascinating)

Jen

Thank goodness my father is a biologist... I can see stuff like that and not be remotely grossed out.

Good to know Waylon is better.

I just forwarded the pics to Cathy at FHOTD ( http://www.fuglyhorseoftheday.blogspot.com/ ) that was a good idea, Kira... also took the jar to a horse 4-H meeting last night and completely grossed out a bunch of little kids. Always well worth it to spread more joy!

vmo

Carrie-please tell me that lady didn't have any more horses! That is not a responsible owner.

Oh and btw that picture is forever burned into my mind and I will never be the same.

carrieinoregon

Yup... she has more horses... She has a little breeding operation. I think that perhaps she had only ever used Ivermectin instead of rotating or doing daily like you're supposed to. Roundworms are notorious at building up a resistance to single wormer use like Ivermectin or low dose Pyran. I did get ahold of her and passed along the info with the hopes that she can safely take care of the rest of her herd. :(
