Polecat.

You may remember POLE CAT from CWC episode #180. Katie from UTAH writes: "...Hey Chris, It's Katie from Utah! I just wanted to fill everyone in on the story about the cat! Everything turned out fine. As a tip from my grandma, we called Rocky Mountain Power and they were over to fetch the poor thing down within the hour. I was grocery shopping so I missed it. Bummer. But he's alive and well, and even rubbed up against my legs today when I went across the street to make sure my Christmas lights looked even. Yay for people who care! Lynette's a moron. You still rock, and always will! Katie,  19, Utah P.S. That sounds kind of fake, but I promise this real life happening had a happy ending! (I'll even find it tomorrow and take pictures to prove it.) I believe her. In my experience, power companies will get the animal down ASAP because:

1. The animal may cause an electrical outage, so they'd have more work to do and unhappy customers;

2. Some idiot may attempt a rescue and electrocute himself, resulting in an electrical outage, so they'd have more work to do and unhappy customers.

It's the same reason why in my city the Fire Department will rescue dogs on ice -- if they don't, some idiot will attempt a rescue and end up going through the ice. Which means the fire department has to go out anyway, and the idiot usually dies.

Yep, I even saw on the Animal Planet that cats get stuck up trees (or poles) because of the curve of their claws. Their claws are good for climbing up but not so good at climbing down. So they have to climb down backwards but some cats are too stupid to figure that out, because they're cats.
