Jillian from MISSOURI writes: "...Dear Chris, My mutt Sadie (age 13) is losing it. She used to leap out of her bed at the first sound of keys turning in the front door's lock, but now I am able to enter the house and the living room completely unnoticed. Deaf, blind, and demented. When she does rarely awaken these days, this is how she looks." - Jillian, 20teen, Missouri USA
Poor thing!

My only advice is, if there comes a time when the vet says it adie to sleep, do not hesitate for your sake. I too had a dog that was so old, many of it's faculties were failing. I can't imagine having kept her in discomfort for my own selfish needs.

Damn right, that's how I'm spending my retirement. Poor old girl, what a trooper.
