To all you poo pooers- Rats are very smart. They are not like hamsters or mice. They can learn their own names. I had a hairless rat about ten years ago and I only bought him because a guy was going to buy him and feed him to his snake. I named him Loomis and he turned out to be one of the best pets I ever had. And yes they are snuggly!
Does Libby know that naked rats have dysfunctional immune systems and tend to live even shorter than usual rat lives because they get horrible infections and die? That's because they were raised for biomedical research until some money-grubbing pet store person decided they'd be "cuuuute" to sell to teenage goth chicks.
Mel:
They are breed for fancy rat shows, I'm sorry I bought a rat. She lives a very happy life, and she wouldn't have that life if I hadn't gotten her and her sister.
P.S. I ain't no gawth.
Holy shit - this picture freaked me out a little bit at first.

"Organ" is the wrong title. It should be "Evolution."
