18 year-old Denita in OREGON writes: "...This was my family's adorable Maltese puppy Eddie. I loved him. He was funny, sweet, and playful. Unfortunately, we were having difficulty housebreaking him, and my stepmom couldn't take it anymore. We gave him away...."
Cute!

Yecchhh. I had a Maltese for a short time a few years ago. He was the evilest thing on four legs that I've ever seen.

Hooray for pathetic people who dump their animals because they can't commit the time, energy or effort to helping them become a companion animal. Makes me sick.

Probably should have looked into the breed before they got him. Maltese are notorious for being non-trainable.

i have a maltese, and its true they can be hard to train, very stubborn little guys, but to just give up on a pet, that is awful there is always a way, get professional help

It's really not as monstrous as it sounds. He was given to us for free because a family member was going through chemotherapy, and we were aware of the difficulties in housebreaking Maltese, but we did our best. We gave him to a sweet family from church who loves him very much, so all is well!

relax people...she didn't say she euthanized the thing. she gave him to someone else probably where he's much happier. duh. nothing wrong with that.

Thanks for the update Denita, I'm not sad anymore. I hope he's a happy little guy now because he looks f*ing adorable.

Well I hope his new home is good too. Cute little guy.

Maltese puppies are seriously the worst dogs unless you like living in their urine. Whoever said Denita should get professional help really needs to seek some theirself. Why put so much effort and money and cleaning products to waste when someone will do it? GIVE THEM ALL AWAY!
