In my house, we call it the Lion Cut. My friend's cat got it every year cause he was fat and did not take good care of himself and his fur got gross and matted.

Hello!

I am Ira's mom, Trisa. Kendra just told me about this! We shave him once a year because: a) if we don't, his hair gets gross and matted and he gets dreadlocks in his armpits; b) He sheds fur tumbleweeds the size of kittens in the Spring, then gets hot in the Chicago summer.

His best friend Texaco doesn't recognize him when he gets home from the groomers because he smells like soap. They're cool now, and back to snuggling.
