Ken in MINN writes: "...Ella's scared of water and doesn't like anyone around her when she drinks. She has to lean way back and lap at the edge of the bowl with her tongue. She's also scared of loud music, loud voices, doorbells, cars, people, other dogs, being petted and being left alone."
Everybody's special.

Some are more special than others, I'm afraid.

Poor Ella! In spite of all her 'issues', I think she's ADORABLE. Is she a Jack Russell Terrier? Or at least part JRT?

Awww you should watch the dog whisperer. Raising a dog to be fearful of everybody and everything is a special talent you should be proud of. ;P

She is actually a friend's dog that I am watching this week. She was apparently abused prior to being adopted. She slept with me last night so I think she's coming around. She is part Jack Russell and probably part cat judging from how much she sleeps.

Ha ha, I know how that is. My dog is terrified of plastic bags.

How long has your friend had her? The fact that she trusted you enough to sleep with you shows she's at least willing to trust. Her earlier issues may take much longer to overcome. Poor pup. Glad she found your friend!

Get her nails trimmed asap. That's painful.
