Tashina in CALIFORNIA sends this picture of her husband and their puppy. She writes: "...Hello Chris. I came home from work a couple days ago to find a most disturbing early birthday surprise. My little Boston Terrier pup, Shin Chan, was lying dead in the yard. My hubby says he thought he was acting funny, and hadn't eaten his food from the previous day. We think he may have eaten something poisonous."

Wow. I'm really really sorry.
I always think about what I'd do if I found my cat dead...
Probably commit suicide.

Ohhh!! I'm SO SORRY! That's the saddest thing I've ever heard. D: I've been wanting a boston terrier for a long time, and I think I can get one soon. I hope it doesn't die.

We had a dog we got from a pet store that died -- an autopsy showed a birth defect caused by puppy mill breeding. Be careful about where you get your animals... Those "pure breeds" are not usually very pure, mutts are much heartier critters. Almost all of our pet store dogs (growing up, as an adult I would NEVER buy from a pet store or breeder!) had health issues. It's quite tragic because we love them so much and it's heartbreaking when they pass before their time. Just a thought... Could have been a birth defect like happened with mine. He had eating problems, as well, but I won't go into details -- even in the wake of IFSFY day!
