You may have seen my previous posts about the Goldberg family in ARGENTINA. They've been taking pictures of themselves every June since 1976 and they've posted them on the net in a progressive archive. I was at my desk here in LA tonight preparing for the next installment of my reading series The Chris Leavins Story Hour, and I wondered if they'd done their sitting for 2009. It's a becoming a yearly habit for me to check up on them, and every year I'm slightly nervous there might be one less family member when I log on. This year has been a particularly bad one for losing people, and I hoped among hope that the Goldbergs were all still with us. CLICK HERE FOR THEIR 2009 PHOTOS.

I'm particularly impressed with Diego's beard. That chin warmer is 33 years old this year. Happy birthday Diego's beard!

very cool idea. and instead of loss, it seems as if the family has expanded. maybe next year, his brothers will follow in his footsteps.
