"...Hello Chris, it's Gay Bear Homer from AZ. Yesterday, in honor of Holiday Eve, a young Javelina showed up in my backyard and ate the scraps I had tossed out for my chicken Henny-Penny to eat. My neighbors were amazed. I thought it was very clever of the javelina to use his foot to hold the pineapple core in place while it chewed on it. Sorry I couldn't get it to wear a Santa hat, but javelina are known to have nasty tempers. Homer."

You can eat them, they're not very tasty.
They're a peccary, not a pig.
I nearly creamed one with a motorcycle.

WOW - I'm 35 years old and I've never heard of this animal! I'm in Massillon Ohio and we don't have them - I'd assume that's why I've never heard of them. He's kind of ugly in a cute kind of way.
