Last week I accidentally advertised the classic romantic comedy "Tootsie" on my website. As a result, its Starmeter rating on IMDB.com skyrocketed 1400%. A viewer named RickREALITY suggested it was purely coincidental, so I suggested my 4.39 million viewers prove their power by raising the Starmeter rating on the 1994 film "Reality BITES". John in PASADENA writes: "...Chris, I'm a computer programmer in the space industry. Your plan to raise the Starmeter rating on IMDB is not going to work. The Starmeter system is based on an algorithm that doesn't regsiter repeated clicks from a single link. It may have worked last time but that was because you did not provide a single link to the web page like the Reality Bites link in your top left sidebar. If your viewers want to have any impact, they need to cut and paste the link independently without getting there through CWC (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110950/). I'd like to say you're going to be successful with this, but I'm afraid all your dreams are dead."
