Vintage

Before I created the internet's #1 cat website with the word "Chris" in the title, I was an avid collector of vintage snapshots sold in junk shops. Donna from Beijing (where they're no longer blocking my website) writes: "...I spent Chinese New Year in the Portland/Seattle area and came across these photos at a second-hand market.  The one with the cat had no writing on it, but it was in with a batch of other photos that included info about a family from Staunton, VA. I'm also including a picture of a roadside bear.  The date on the back of the photo says July, 1959.  I wonder what happened to the lady in the background. -Donna in Beijing."

On Tuesday I posted this picture of Harrison from GEORGIA. His girlfriend Emily is a big fan of Cute with Chris and he surprised her by proposing online. Dozens of people have written me to ask what her answer was, and I'm happy to report SHE SAID...

The Accidental Homewrecker

"...So Chris, it's Gwendolyn-21teen-from Cape Breton Nova Scotia and boy has this has been the worst week ever! I found out the guy I was sort of kind of long distance dating... well... has a girlfriend! I only found out about her because she found out about me after I sent him some postcard art! I feel terrible! Luckily the girlfriend is totally cool and believes that I knew nothing about her existence! Yay! I've spent the whole weekend feeling like a huge BITCH and wanting to crush heads! When I feel shitty(or murderous)... I snuggle my dog or one of my cats! It makes me feel infinitely better! But, sadly I'm away at college and I do not have access to living balls of fluffy love... I do however have stuffed animals."
